Hotel with the personal touch

We had a lovely stay. It is good to stay in a hotel with the personal touch. We will recommend to our son who live in Singapore. We have marked good rather than great for restaurant & bar as there is always room for improvement. We would have had more wine if it had been cheaper rather than beer on some occasions although we are not big drinker anyway.

A very friendly and welcoming hotel and staff. Very relaxing stay for us both. Some different music would help, as heard the same all day. This is a very minor point though. Thank you for looking after us both.

A very nice English style hotel. Everything is perfect. Only the bed is (for us) too hard.

A nice place to stay. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and relatives. Good meal. Lakehouse is definitely my first choice if I come to CH again.

The only thing what was a problem was the noise of the road and because there is no air-cond. We kept our window open to cool down the room.

Lovely place but a bit disappointing in the entrance to the room as rather uninviting very gloomy. Not as nice as the main hotel area.Could do with a flower arrangement and more pictures to brighten the drab appearance. Also more airing needed as place smell very musty. In dining room at breakfast be nice to have the local strawberry jam instead of packet Heinz. We enjoyed our stay greatly. Staff all fantastic. Thanks.

We are completely satisfied. You are made us very happy with your attention(and with the free upgrading of our room) Maybe during the meals some more variation in music.

Mossy forest tour was excellent. I think for the jungle trekking at this hotel it would be a good idea to explain that it is a steep walk.Especially for old people. There was no information on this. Genuinely charming staff from management & waiting staff to the maids and  the gardener & guide. A pity that road is noisy, but that is not the fault of the hotel. Thank you for an excellent stay.

Warm, friendly atmosphere with many extra touches e.g. fruit in room, welcome drink that has made for a memorable stay. However, we found the mattress too hard. Also at meal times the staff can be over attentive. It would be nice to have local strawberry jam.

Restaurant menu not enough to eat for the price. Thanks to the employees of the hotel. I had a really great time here. Very good place for relaxing.

Pillow a bit too soft. Very knowledgeable and good recommendation of giving good advise to us instead o just following the run of the tour group.Told us to get a whole van which is cheaper. Service is beyond expectation. Good and excellent hospitality. Will be back for more. Thanks.
